Harry “The Hat” Charles Ward, 75, of Enville, TN (formerly of Decatur) passed away Tuesday October 19, 2010 at his residence in Enville, TN.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for Harry “The Hat” on November 6, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM for all his family and friends at Rocco’s, 1933 S. Taylorville Road in Decatur.
Harry was born in Groveland, IL on November 7, 1934 the son of Samuel P. and Lucille Davis Ward. He married Patricia M. Frey on July 6, 1957. He was a truck driver for 20 years at Transport Service Company, member of Local #279, American Legion and a Korean War Veteran of the Army.
Harry is survived by his wife Patricia, daughters: Cheryl Bryson and husband Dan of South Lake, TX., Gwyn Gurgens and husband Ron of Springfield, IL., Carla Kadapa and husband Vijay of Jefferson City, MO. and Kia Binnion and husband Mark of Chatham, IL.; siblings: Phyllis Ludwig and husband Butch of Mt. Auburn, Samuel Ward and wife Jane of Pawnee, John Ward and wife Jeanie of Mt. Auburn; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Tricia Ralston, one sister Shirley Stuart and one granddaughter Rebecca Wieting.
